My name is Jordan Jancosek, and I am excited to officially announce my candidacy for Barrington Town Council.

After living here the past four years, I’ve seen what a wonderful place this is to live and raise my family. Going forward, I want to be part of the team that works together to create solutions to propel Barrington into the future. By focusing on real issues like climate impact, supporting small businesses, and increasing town accessibility and safety, I want to assure that Barrington is a great place to live for generations to come. I also want to work to make local politics more accessible for young families here in town – we should all be able to be part of the discussion, without barriers. I’ll need the help of my neighbors and community to get elected, and to hold me accountable in representing all of us with integrity, energy, and sincerity.

CLIMATE RESILIENCY

By instituting proper drainage on our streets and bridges and providing residents with the tools and assistance to help in the event of home flooding, we can see solutions for climate impact now.

TOWN ACCESSIBILITY AND SAFETY

Creating more clear crosswalks, better signage, and implementing traffic calming measures make our town more accessible and safer for all.

SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESS

Local incentives such as coordinated sidewalk sales and a Restaurant Week can help keep businesses thriving and our community engaged.

INTERGENERATIONAL LIVING

By keeping our seniors in their homes and reimagining public spaces, Barrington can thrive as a community for all generations to live together.
